Aha livestage
If you're into sweaty 80s music or, in general, just a fan of the decade when bright colors and synthesizers really made their entrance, the nightclub AHA Livestage in Fredericia is definitely worth a visit.
When AHA Livestage came on the drawing board in 2020, the ambition for the venue's founder and owner was to create a unique experience where atmosphere, interior, sound and light should merge and give guests a refined experience of stepping back in time and experiencing the very special 80s vibe with prominent DJs and live music on stage. In other words, uncompromising high quality was the focal point of the entire concept, where nothing was to be spared. Not even on the sound side, where one of the country's most prominent sound designers, Tim Høyer, was hired as a technical consultant to design the sound.
Acoustician Eddie Bøgh Brixen has worked with the acoustic conditions, while Stouenborg has designed the sound system itself, which should support a desire for as short reverberation times as possible, as it provides a tight and transparent sound image.
All ceilings have been acoustically dampened, while the sound system consists of no less than 78 distributed Meyer Sound loudspeakers to play up the 600 square meters. On the other hand, the reverberation time is down to just 0.85 seconds. This means that the sound is razor sharp even at a high sound pressure.
The relatively large number of speakers ensures a consistent sound experience throughout the club, regardless of where you are. At the same time, the system is designed so that it is possible to regulate the sound in zones. You can e.g. turn the volume up on the dance floor and down in the bar so that it is possible to have conversations without being drowned out by the music.
Stouenborg has also supplied the front end system consisting of a Yamaha digital matrix and a desk from Allen & Heath, which makes it easy to switch between live music and DJs.
