Floor Well
Over the past 8 years, Stouenborg has developed and produced special solutions for various projects that suit the needs of the users.
Floor drains have always been a challenge when you wanted to use AV and event industry standards in connectors and cables. This is because in the event and AV industry, for example, PowerCon and EatherCon connectors are used together with XLR connectors.
In normal floor wells, which only relate to Shucko or LK frames, the connectors are often bent by the lids, which cannot be closed when the floor wells are in use. We set out to change this together with the University of Copenhagen during the construction of Maersk Tower.
The design is based on the fact that you can use AV and event industry standards, and that the connectors are angled so that the lid can be closed afterwards while the cables are in. This also ensures that the floor wells are less likely to be filled with dirt, because they are not left open when the cables are installed.
